Job Title: Senior – Network Administrator

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our computer networks, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and reliable. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the Internet
• Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
• Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and servers
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime
• Collaborate with other IT staff to resolve technical issues and implement new projects
• Develop and implement network policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards
• Monitor network performance and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on LAN/WAN design and implementation
• Professional certification in network administration, such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff
• Proficiency in Amharic and English languages is required
