Senior Admin and Finance Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Admin and Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial functions of our organization, ensuring efficient and effective operations. This is a senior role that requires strong leadership, management, and technical skills to drive our organization’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement administrative and financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives
• Oversee the management of financial transactions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Lead and manage a team of administrative and financial staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality performance
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to finance, taxation, and employment
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies
• Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Prepare and present financial reports and other information to senior management and the board of directors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior administrative and financial role, preferably in a similar industry or organization
• Professional certification in accounting or finance, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, labor laws, and other regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with financial management software
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an advantage
