Senior Electrician

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician to take on a leadership role and work on a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate electrical projects, including scheduling and budgeting
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical devices
• Supervise and train junior electricians and other team members
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, and develop solutions
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to ensure effective electrical systems

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience as an electrician, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior role
• Valid Electrician’s License from the Ethiopian Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity
• Knowledge of Ethiopian electrical codes and regulations, including the Ethiopian Standard (ES)
• Experience with electrical testing and measurement equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and train team members
