Job Title: Branch Manager I Bishoftu Menharia Branch

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our Bishoftu Menharia Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the branch, including sales, customer service, and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch sales targets and growth objectives
• Lead and manage a team of customer service representatives, sales officers, and other support staff
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Manage and monitor branch operations, including risk management, compliance, and audit
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities and threats
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies
• Prepare and submit regular branch performance reports to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Professional certification in banking or a related field, such as CBA or CFA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian banking laws and regulations, including the National Bank of Ethiopia’s guidelines and directives
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
• Willingness to work in Bishoftu and travel occasionally to other branches or head office
