Junior Accountant URGENT HIRING

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and financial analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional looking to launch their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and review budget reports, forecasts, and financial analysis
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets to analyze financial data
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, or recent graduate with relevant internship experience
• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Peachtree or QuickBooks
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Certificate in accounting, such as CAT or ACCA, is an added advantage
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required
