Job Title: Finance Head

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Finance Head to lead our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Finance Head will play a key role in driving business growth, improving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business objectives
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective financial operations
• Ensure compliance with financial laws, regulations, and standards, including tax laws and accounting standards
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to inform business decisions
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies
• Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements, and implement changes to optimize financial performance

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
• Professional certification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CMA
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in managing high-performing teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with strong writing and presentation skills
