Account Manager – Underwriting & Risk Advisory

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Underwriting & Risk Advisory team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing underwriting and risk advisory services to our clients. You will work closely with our underwriting team to develop and implement risk management strategies that meet our clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their underwriting and risk advisory needs
• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to develop and implement risk management strategies for clients
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to clients on risk mitigation strategies
• Provide underwriting and risk advisory services to clients, including policy reviews and risk analysis
• Develop and present proposals and reports to clients and internal stakeholders
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting, risk management, or a related field
• Professional certification in insurance or risk management, such as ACII or ARM, is an advantage
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian insurance laws and regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
