Job Title: Finance and Admin Officer
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Admin Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative functions of our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing support to the management team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage and coordinate the administrative functions of the organization, including human resources, procurement, and facilities management
- Provide support to the management team on financial and administrative matters
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a private or non-profit organization
- Professional certification in accounting, such as ACCA or CPA, is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, as well as financial reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in financial management software, such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
