Job Title: General Accounts Division Head

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Accounts Division Head to lead our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to management. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial management principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the general accounts team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to inform business decisions
• Ensure internal controls are in place to mitigate financial risks and prevent fraud
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA (Ethiopia) or ACCA, is highly preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing accounting teams
• Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle, is an advantage
