Job Summary
\nThe Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company\u2019s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role will also involve managing general accounting functions, financial analysis, budgeting, and helping the team implement best practices for financial processes.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nFinancial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with accounting standards.
\nAccount Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
\nGeneral Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the company\u2019s general ledger, including reviewing journal entries, adjustments, and ensuring all accounts are accurately maintained.
\nFinancial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization. Provide insights and recommendations to management.
\nMonth-End & Year-End Closing: Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for and properly documented.
\nTax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws, and coordinating with external auditors during the audit process.
\nInternal Controls & Audit: Assist with maintaining effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy and security of financial data.
\nBudgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial planning to ensure the organization meets its financial goals.
\nTeam Collaboration & Support: Supervise junior accounting staff and provide mentorship, ensuring their work is accurate and aligned with company standards.
\nProcess Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements within the accounting department and contribute to the implementation of more efficient and effective financial systems.
\nWorking Conditions<\/p>\n
Full-time, in-office position.
\nOccasional overtime may be required during peak financial periods (e.g., end of quarter or year-end).
