\nThe Senior Accountant role at OVID Property Management and Title Deed PLC is a full-time position based in our Addis Ababa office. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations. The Senior Accountant will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and audits while mentoring junior staff. With 5-8 years of experience in accounting, the successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the organization.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
\nEnsure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations in all financial practices.
\nManage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable.
\nCoordinate and support internal and external audits.
\nDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
\nMonitor and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
\nPrepare annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis.
\nAssist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission.
\nUtilize Peachtree software to record, post, and close accounts accurately.
