\nMisrak Food Complex PLC is seeking a qualified and experienced\u00a0Head of General Accounts\u00a0to lead and manage the company\u2019s accounting operations. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and supervise the accounting team to support the company\u2019s financial management and decision-making.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Lead and manage the general accounting department
\nOversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
\nEnsure the accuracy of general ledger accounts and financial records
\nMonitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow activities
\nEnsure compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations and company policies
\nCoordinate internal and external audits
\nPrepare financial reports for senior management
\nSupervise, guide, and evaluate accounting staff
\nSupport budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities
\nEnsure timely tax filing and statutory reporting

\nQualifications and Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\nMinimum 5\u00a0years of relevant accounting experience, with\u00a0at least 2\u20133 years in a leadership or supervisory role
\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation
\nProfessional certification such as\u00a0ACCA, CPA, or equivalent\u00a0is an advantage
\nExcellent leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
