The role contributes to operational safety by following established security procedures, monitoring road conditions, and coordinating with the Country Safety and Security Focal Person (CSSFP). The Driver is also responsible for ensuring assigned vehicles are well-maintained, roadworthy, and equipped with required documentation and emergency supplies.<\/p>\n<p>Accountability &amp; Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Driving and Vehicle Maintenance (100%)<\/p>\n<p>Provide safe and timely transportation services for staff, visitors, and authorized passengers according to approved schedules and operational needs.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with organizational transport policies, road safety regulations, and security procedures always.<br \/>\nMaintain professional and respectful interactions with staff, visitors, partners, and service providers.<br \/>\nConduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles, including checking fuel, oil, water levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and overall vehicle condition.<br \/>\nPerform minor vehicle maintenance and promptly reports mechanical issues or required repairs to the supervisor.<br \/>\nEnsure assigned vehicles are kept clean, tidy, and presentable at all times, both internally and externally.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate mileage logs, fuel records, maintenance schedules, and movement tracking documentation.<br \/>\nCoordinate regular vehicle servicing and maintenance with approval from the supervisor.<br \/>\nMaintain and monitor all vehicle-related documents including registration, insurance, road licenses, road taxes, and parking permits to ensure validity and timely renewal.<br \/>\nEnsure vehicles are equipped with essential safety and emergency supplies such as first aid kits, spare tires, and basic tools.<br \/>\nSupport operational activities by delivering and collecting documents, supplies, and materials from vendors, banks, and service providers as assigned.<br \/>\nReport accidents, incidents, damages, or safety concerns immediately according to organizational procedures.<br \/>\nWork closely with the CSSFP on all transportation safety and security matters.<br \/>\nRemain alert to changing road, environmental, and security conditions and communicates relevant updates to management; Monitor field travel risks and ensure safety procedures are followed during field movements and travel assignments.<br \/>\nEnsure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and organizational property during all movements.<br \/>\nTake immediate and appropriate action in accordance with organizational safety procedures in the event of accidents or emergencies.<br \/>\nParticipate in operational and logistics meetings where required. Perform other duties as assigned.<br \/>\nScope (geographical and\/or functional), Impact and Autonomy<\/p>\n<p>This position operates within the Country\/Project and supports transportation and logistical activities across project locations and operational areas. The Driver works independently on daily assignments while following approved schedules, RTP policies, and safety protocols. The role directly contributes to staff safety, operational continuity, and the efficient implementation of project activities through reliable transportation support.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership and Staff management<\/p>\n<p>This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the Driver is expected to maintain effective coordination with staff, logistics teams, and visitors while demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and adherence to organizational procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Information requirement for decision-making<\/p>\n<p>The Driver is responsible for maintaining accurate records related to vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, incidents, and travel movements.
