The Role<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Maintenance Planner\u00a0optimizes equipment uptime and workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays through meticulous coordination of labour, parts, and equipment access. Responsible for managing maintenance strategies, execute Maintenance Management Systems, and prioritize work orders to meet production targets without compromising safety.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Planning & Scheduling:<\/p>\n
Develop, review, and adjust short- and long-term (corrective and preventative) maintenance schedules (preventive, predictive, and corrective) based on OEM manuals and operational history.
\nDevelop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules in collaboration with the team
\nBalance maintenance priorities based on the severity and production requirements
\nWork Order Management:<\/p>\n
Develop detailed maintenance plans
\nPrepare work orders, job packages, procedures and resource requirements
\nReview maintenance requests and prioritize according to operational requirements
\nDerive detailed Scope of works for major maintenance related roles.
\nIncluding required tools, safety steps, technical drawings, and estimated labour hours.
\nSupply Chain Coordination:<\/p>\n
Create critical spartes lists
\nVerify the availability of required spares, materials, and external services in the inventory system before maintenance execution.
\nSystem Accuracy:<\/p>\n
Maintain CMMS and ERP databases (e.g., Oracle, Pronto) by logging work histories, updating task lists, and managing asset hierarchies.
\nContinuous Improvement:<\/p>\n
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures and generate performance reports (MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance) to refine maintenance strategies.
\nShutdown & Outage Planning:<\/p>\n
Lead planning efforts for major overhauls and planned plant shutdowns, working closely with Reliability Engineers and Operations.
\nSafety<\/p>\n
Ensure a safe work environment
\nConduct safety inspections
\nEnsure employees are trained and certified in safety and health practices
\nRespond to incidents and prevent accident
\nProductivity<\/p>\n
Plan and organize work
\nImplement\/deliver monthly, weekly, and daily plans.

Ensure integration of function annual plan and operation annual plan.
\nImplement policies, processes, and procedures within function.
\nAlign to function plans and targets.
\nObtain and allocate resources to enable teams to deliver on daily, weekly, quarterly, annual targets.
\nDesign solutions based on functional knowledge to address business needs.
\nDrive performance for achieving function outcomes.
