\nApex Confectionery PLC\u00a0is a new light manufacturing firm engaged in the production of sweet foods such as chewing gum, candies, toffees and lollipops.<\/p>\n
The company is seeking to hire a proactive, organized, competent and experienced Senior Supply Chain, Procurement & Import Officer.<\/p>\n
Salary is negotiable based on relevant work experience; the head office is located in Kality closed to CBE area.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities Include:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Analyze historical sales data and market trends, develop demand forecasts for various gum product lines, and coordinate with sales and marketing teams to align production with market demand for demand planning and forecasting
\nSource and procure raw materials such as gum base, sweeteners, flavors, packaging materials, and additives for procurement management.
\nEvaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery reliability. Negotiate contracts and maintain strategic supplier relationships for supplier management.
\nManage Single Window import applications for raw materials and samples, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and timely processing of import approvals.
\nFind and verify new suppliers for all import purchases.
\nConstantly compare and cross-check prices from various local and international suppliers & prepared & shares the report.
\nManage the import supply chain from supplier to local factory storage receipt.
\nConsistently check and promptly respond to emails, calls and messages from relevant stakeholders.
\nManage and supervise all Customs related documentation and tasks.
\nOrganize and file all import related documentation.
\nCreate a database of and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
\nPrepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to import and procurement processes.
\nMonitor and track the status of ordered goods using the Supply Chain System.
\nPrepare production demand forecasts from the system, analyse material requirements, and place purchase orders accordingly
\nRecord and maintain sales data accurately in the System.
\nRisk Management: – Identify potential supply chain disruptions, develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing options and monitor market and supplier risks continuously.
\nReviewing Procurement and Supplier Management policy of Organization.<\/p>\n
About You
\nRequirements:<\/p>\n
Good oral and written English communication skills
\nAbility to effectively research and find relevant suppliers and input products
\nFamiliar with various online market portals to find and review suppliers and input products
\nExcellent record keeping skills
\nEffective organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
\nExcellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
\nPeople oriented and results driven.
\nCompetence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
\nDegree in supply, procurement and logistic management, marketing, finance or related field.
