Location of work: Somali Region, Moyale<\/p>\n
The cashier reports directly to the Finance Officer and receives additional guidance from the Zonal Coordinator.<\/p>\n
The position holder will be responsible for the efficient and satisfactory provision of all cashier services of the Response office.<\/p>\n
S\/he will receive payments made to the field office team, deposit cash and cheques to the bank account, preparing and effect cash and cheque payments as per the directives there on.<\/p>\n
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n

Cash handling<\/p>\n
Handles all bank matters except collecting check books, which have to be done by the accountants;
\nReconciles petty cash accounts.
\nHandles cash collection and timely deposit in the bank
\nPrepares revolving fund replenishment
\nAssists the Finance Officer in cancelling payment document, i.e. putting paid stamps on used receipts, invoices and rechecks the completeness of financial documents, approval signatures and attached financial documents.
\nEffects approved cash payment, fuel coupons and materials from store.
\nProvides accurate and timely daily cash reports and other regulatory reports;
\nPrepares deposit voucher to record cash collection and deposits
\nAs the cash custodian, he\/she ensures safety deposit of financial assets, handles the material supplies according to the material management and finance guidelines of WVE. Receive items purchased or donated according to specification and give fixed Assets tags.

\nRequired\u00a0Education, training, license, registration, and\/or Certification<\/p>\n
Degree in Accounting, Business administration and related field.
\nBA degree in Accounting, Business and related field
\nStrong MS office (Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to use new technology, Knowledge of petty cash management & customer handling skills
\nRequired\u00a0Professional Experience<\/p>\n
