PSI Ethiopia is seeking a Quality and Training Coordinator with strong expertise in Adolescent and youth sexual reproductive health interventions to support the Smart Start, IUCD, DMPA and RMNCH programs. The coordinator will coordinate the rollout, coordination, and monitoring of all AYSRH quality and training activities, ensuring effective implementation across targeted regions.<\/p>\n
The role will strengthen provider capacity, champion high-quality, client-centered services, and foster strong stakeholder engagement to expand access, increase service uptake, and ensure the long-term sustainability of AYSRH interventions across Oromia region.<\/p>\n
The Quality and Training Coordinator will:<\/p>\n
Provide strategic and technical support for the capacity building of AYSRH interventions across targeted regions.
\nEnsure all quality and training activities align with national policies, standards, and AYSRH priorities.
\nStrengthen the capacity of health providers and health system structures at regional, Zonal and woreda levels.
\nFacilitate smooth and effective implementation of AYSRH training, service delivery, and community engagement initiatives.
\nCoordinate monitoring, learning, and adaptive management processes for quality and training to improve program quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Your contribution: Key Roles and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
1. Quality Assurance and Training Coordination<\/p>\n
Coordinate all AYSRH quality assurance and training activities to support effective program delivery and high-quality services.
\nImplement quality of care and training initiatives in partnership with Regional Health Bureaus and district health offices.
\nRoll out QA\/QI tools, SOPs, quality standards, and tracking systems at regional and district levels, in close collaboration with regional AYSRH manager, and Quality and Training Lead.
\nCoordinate the design, rollout, and ongoing refinement of training packages for health care workers and other community actors, ensuring alignment with quality standards and strong mentorship.
\nCoordinate the design and successful rollout of quality-of-care tools and strategies to be implemented at the community and facility level.
\nMonitor and assess provider competencies on a regular basis to ensure high-quality AYSRH clinical care, with guidance from the Quality and Training Lead.
\nPromote equitable, informed choice and support high-quality access to modern contraceptive services.
\nFacilitate Training of Trainers (ToTs) sessions for master trainers and government staff to support effective knowledge transfer and scale-up.
\nAdapt and manage refresher and comprehensive training for HCWs and community actors.
\nWork with partners to strengthen training delivery and ensure consistency across project implementation sites.
\nCoordinate departmental work plans and budgets, ensuring timely consolidation, review, and submission.
\n2. Performance Review and Reporting<\/p>\n
Track program progress against indicators, milestones, and Management by Objectives (MBOs).
\nConsolidate inputs for government, and internal reports, ensuring accuracy and quality.
\nSupport timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual Quality and Training updates to global teams and stakeholders.
\nSupport data collection, data extraction, method continuation and utilization for performance monitoring, training outcomes, and quality improvement.
\nAnalyze training effectiveness and service quality data to inform adaptive management and continuous improvement.
\nParticipate in implementation research and learning exercises to assess feasibility, acceptability, and impact of training and service delivery approaches.
\nDocument and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations to project teams and government partners.
\n3. Communication, Correspondence, and Documentation<\/p>\n
Facilitate smooth communication between the AYSRH team regional team, other units, and external stakeholders.
\nOrganize internal and external meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and ensure dissemination of decisions and actions.
\nWork closely with RHBs, zonal and woreda health offices to co-design training and QA approaches.
\nFacilitate coordination meetings with community structures, including VHLs, WDAs, TBAs, and other local platforms.
\n4. Technical Coordination & Interdepartmental Facilitation<\/p>\n
Develop and implement quality assurance mechanisms and monitoring tools to track performance.
\nConduct supportive supervision, mentorship, and coaching to ensure high-quality service delivery along the AYSRH.
\nFacilitate performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to strengthen technical competencies and motivation.
\nCoordinate with PHCUs and woreda health offices to ensure adherence to national standards, protocols, and guidelines.
\n5. Stakeholder Engagement and Support<\/p>\n
Coordinate with government counterparts to ensure timely responses, reporting compliance, and alignment with national policies.
\nBuild strong relationships with RHBs, government agencies, and NGOs to promote quality of care and partnerships at the regional level.
\nCollaborate with stakeholders to integrate project quality standards into existing health systems and resolve service delivery issues promptly.
\n6. Standardization and Documentation<\/p>\n
Support standardization of clinical service delivery approaches, including development of manuals, guides, and site visit checklists.
\nMaintain a database of trainees and training outcomes, analyzing data to optimize training costs and efficiency.
\nDocument activities, results, and lessons learned to contribute to project knowledge management and reporting.
\nAbout You
\nWhat are we looking for? The basics<\/p>\n
At least four (4) years with a Masters or Six (6) years of experience with a first degree in Medicine, public health, Midwifery, and Nursing.
\nProven experience in designing and implementing quality of care and training initiatives at a large scale.
\nExperience in AYSRH quality of care tools design and implementation.
\nExcellent training and facilitation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare providers, and community members.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in monitoring and evaluation.
\nAbility to travel within Ethiopia as required.

Proven experience working in AYSRH quality of care programs.
\nExperience in existing Health Extension program and PHCU in Ethiopia a plus
\nAmple experience in improving and enhancing the quality of AYSRH service
