K.Mikedem General Import and Export and sister companies\u00a0(KKGW, KROTAJ and PORCHLIGHT) are looking for a\u00a0Junior Logistics Officer\u00a0to oversee general import\/export operations.<\/p>\n
Our company has been engaged in a highly successful import and export business for the past
\ntwenty plus years in Ethiopia. The company has been exporting sesame, oilseeds and spices.
\nThe company works with its core social responsibility model that is embedded in its business
\nmodel.<\/p>\n
The company is the primary importer of home supply materials, specifically Media Electronics, from other countries.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Preparation of bank permits, invoices and packing list for import and export shipment.
\nMaintain communication with other logistic departments, airlines, banks and governmental offices.
\nLead all logistics and operations department
\nArrange sales contracts. Shipment schedules ,documentations
\nCommunicate with international buyers and suppliers about shipment schedules and shipment status, so all documents and shipments are performed properly
\nInteract with third party logistics service providers.
\nAudit freight cost and documentation.
\nEnsure all payments are processed in time.
\nCreate packing lists and update shipment information in database.
\nOrganize files both manually and electronically.
\nMonitor and facilitate repair orders.
\nCoordinate deliveries.
\nEnsure that all documents are delivered to the customer and the airlines.
\nFlight booking and following
\nOther duties assigned by the department or the organization.
\nAssist sisters companies and other departments as needed
\nPrepare annual quarterly work plan and report the work progress on a weekly

\nRequirements<\/p>\n
BA degree in\u00a0Logistics & Supply Chain Management\u00a0from any recognized college\/university
\nPreferably experienced in an import\/export company
\nProficient in\u00a0Ms-Word\u00a0&\u00a0Ms-Excel
