The Project<\/p>\n
The SRVC II project is a comprehensive agricultural value chain development (VCD) project, working along selected agricultural value chains in the horticulture and oilseeds sub-sectors. The project aims to strengthen private sector development, supply chain management and post-harvest management. It works with various public and private partners, including agricultural input and service providers, agricultural producers and processors as well as business associations to foster public-private collaboration and public private dialog (PPD). In addition to and beyond selected value chains, the project aims to support federal partners with agricultural policy development and inter-sectoral coordination for Ethiopia\u2019s agricultural sector to fulfil its potential to provide food security, employment and supply high quality food to local and international markets.<\/p>\n
sequa has received the mandate from GIZ SRVC II to implement projects along the horticulture and oilseed agriculture value chains. The project aims to support SMEs and farmer organizations in achieving business growth and stronger market integration by improving service delivery of relevant business membership organization\u2019s (BMOs), and strengthening the capacity of targeted SMEs along the value chains in Ethiopia<\/p>\n
Scope of the Assignment<\/p>\n
The objective of this assignment is to provide operational coordination and logistical support for the effective implementation of project activities. The Project Operations Coordinator will lead the planning and organization of workshops, trainings, meetings, and stakeholder engagement events, ensuring timely execution and compliance with project requirements. The role includes coordinating logistics, stakeholder communication, activity scheduling, documentation, reporting, and administrative support to facilitate smooth project operations and contribute to the achievement of project objectives and deliverables.<\/p>\n
Your Tasks \/ Responsibilities & Deliverables<\/p>\n
Organize and coordinate trainings, workshops, meetings, field visits, and project events.
\nPrepare participant lists, attendance sheets, and evaluation forms.
\nCoordinate venue booking, accommodation, transportation, catering, and logistical arrangements.
\nEnsure training materials and equipment are available and properly managed.
\nWork closely with the Finance Coordinator to ensure proper financial management of project activities.
\nCoordinate the processing of participant per diems, transportation reimbursements, and vendor payments.
\nMonitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
\nAssist in budget tracking and expenditure forecasting.
\nFollow up on financial documentation and ensure completeness of supporting documents.
\nEnsure all financial transactions related to project activities comply with organizational policies and procedures.

\nYour Qualification<\/p>\n
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, sociology , or social work
\nProven experience working on GIZ-funded or other donor-funded private sector development projects.
\nExperience in organizing trainings, workshops, and events.
\nExperience in budget monitoring, financial administration.
\nYour Skills and Working Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project coordination, capacity building, operations, administration, or related roles.
\nStrong project coordination and organizational skills and Excellent financial and administrative management skills .
\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
