Nexus Ethiopia is mandated to operate in all regions and City Administration in Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with HELVETAS Ethiopia, Nexus Ethiopia is implementing the project entitled \u201cSkills for Employment in Tigray (SET) Project piloting the project in Mekelle and expanding to other towns.<\/p>\n<p>Job Summary<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Project Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of field-level project activities under the Skills for Employment in Tigray (SET) Project. The role facilitates employment promotion, enterprise development, financial inclusion, skills development, and stakeholder engagement interventions while strengthening collaboration among government institutions, TVET providers, employers, financial institutions, and community actors. The Project Officer supports systems-strengthening initiatives, promotes inclusive and conflict-sensitive approaches, and contributes to achieving sustainable employment and economic empowerment outcomes for youth.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Project Implementation and Technical Support<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Support implementation of project activities in accordance with approved work plans, budgets, donor requirements, and organizational policies.<br \/>\nFacilitate employment promotion activities including job matching, job placement, internships, apprenticeships, career guidance, and job fairs.<br \/>\nSupport enterprise development interventions through business planning, entrepreneurship training, business coaching, mentoring, and market linkage activities.<br \/>\nAssist in implementation of skills development and TVET-related activities, ensuring alignment with labour market needs and employer requirements.<br \/>\nSupport implementation of financial inclusion interventions by facilitating linkages between youth, SACCOs, MFIs, banks, and other financial service providers.<br \/>\nPromote participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other underserved groups in project activities.<br \/>\nStakeholder Engagement and Systems Facilitation<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Build and maintain effective working relationships with government bureaus, TVET institutions, employers, private sector actors, financial institutions, community structures, and development partners.<br \/>\nFacilitate collaboration among training providers, employers, financial institutions, and government stakeholders to strengthen employment and skills development systems.<br \/>\nSupport organization and facilitation of stakeholder forums, partnership meetings, technical working groups, and coordination platforms.<br \/>\nContribute to strengthening local networks and partnerships that support youth employment, enterprise development, and economic inclusion.<br \/>\nMonitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Support implementation of project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities.<br \/>\nCollect, verify, analyze, and report field-level data using approved digital tools and data management systems.<br \/>\nSupport tracer studies, outcome monitoring, employment tracking, enterprise performance monitoring, and beneficiary follow-up activities.<br \/>\nDocument lessons learned, best practices, case studies, success stories, and project achievements.<br \/>\nFacilitate community feedback mechanisms and support accountability processes.<br \/>\nContribute to evidence-based planning, adaptive management, and continuous project improvement.<br \/>\nAdvocacy and Community Engagement<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Support implementation of project advocacy initiatives and awareness-raising activities related to employment, skills development, enterprise promotion, and financial inclusion.<br \/>\nFacilitate stakeholder dialogue sessions, community consultations, and engagement events.<br \/>\nSupport dissemination of project evidence, lessons learned, and success stories to relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\nCompliance, Inclusion and Risk Management<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ensure project activities comply with donor requirements, organizational policies, and applicable government regulations.<br \/>\nPromote Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) principles throughout project implementation.<br \/>\nApply conflict-sensitive and Do-No-Harm approaches in all project activities and stakeholder engagements.<br \/>\nIdentify implementation challenges and risks and promptly report them to the Project Manager with recommended mitigation measures.<br \/>\nSupport safeguarding, accountability, and protection measures within project implementation.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Duty Station: Mekelle &#8211;
