Purpose of the Position<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To safeguard the Commission\u2019s property and personnel and maintain security and order within the institution.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Protect the Commission\u2019s property and employees in accordance with assigned security procedures and schedules.
\nVerify that any property or vehicles leaving the premises have the necessary authorization from the responsible official before allowing them to exit.
\nReceive and assist visitors courteously and conduct security checks before entry.
\nOutside working hours, ensure that offices and windows are properly locked and that lights and water supplies are turned off.
\nReceive visitors carrying equipment, issue identification cards, and return their equipment upon departure after collecting the ID cards.
\nReport for duty on time according to the security roster and conduct proper handover and takeover of property and equipment with the outgoing\/incoming guard.
\nHandle security equipment carefully and use it solely for official security purposes.
\nTake preventive measures against disturbances, security breaches, and criminal incidents within the premises. Attempt to calm situations when problems arise and report offenders to the supervisor.
\nIn the event of a fire, make every effort to extinguish it and, when beyond personal capacity, immediately notify the fire emergency service.
\nMonitor and prevent prohibited items and substances from being brought into the institution.
\nPrepare and submit performance\/activity reports.<\/p>\n
About You
\nRequired Education and Work Experience<\/p>\n
Completion of Grade 8 education.
\nCompletion of military training.
\nAt least two (2) years of work experience in security services or a related field.
\nAbility to speak, read, and write in Amharic.
