\nPosition Summary<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Sales Officer, primary objective will be to identify corporate clients, schedule meetings, pitch television advertising packages, and close deals. The officer will act as the face of the station to local businesses, helping them grow their brands through our commercial airtime.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Actively research, cold-call, and visit businesses (banks, real estate companies, FMCGs, retail brands, tech startups) to identify potential advertisers.
\nConduct persuasive, face-to-face sales presentations to marketing managers and business owners, highlighting the value of advertising on Channel 1 TV.
\nSell various advertising formats, including television commercial spots, program sponsorships and Social (Digital) media placements.
\nMaintain excellent, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business, handling their booking schedules and ensuring their ads air correctly.
\nConsistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly individual sales quotas set by management.
\nKeep track of competitor advertising activities and provide feedback to the production and management teams to help design more competitive packages.

\nJob Requirements & Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
\n1\u20133 years of direct sales experience. Experience selling advertising space (TV, radio, print, or digital media) or B2B corporate services is a massive advantage.
\nExperience in TV, Radio or digital media advertising is advantageous.
\nSkills & Competencies:<\/p>\n
Highly persuasive with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
\nA thick skin to handle rejection and a relentless attitude toward closing deals
\nConfidence to present professionally to high-level corporate executives.
\nFluency in spoken and written Amharic and English.
