\nAt-Con Engineering & Architecture Consultancy Plc., a well-established and reputable consulting company based in Addis Ababa, is engaged in\u00a0the design and supervision of civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems, and other infrastructure projects. We are currently looking to hire\u00a0Two (2) qualified and experienced Structural Engineers.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Develop structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
\nPerform calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with codes.
\nUse CAD and simulation software to model and analyze structural systems.
\nAssess the suitability of construction materials (e.g., steel, concrete, timber).
\nRecommend materials based on strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
\nWork closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors.
\nEnsure structural designs align with architectural concepts and project goals.
\nMonitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
\nConduct site visits to inspect structural elements and resolve issues.
\nEnsure all designs meet local building codes and safety regulations.
\nEvaluate existing structures for integrity and recommend improvements.
\nPrepare detailed design reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
\nMaintain records of calculations, revisions, and approvals.

About You
\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
BSc or MSc\u00a0Degree in\u00a0Structural Engineering,\u00a0Civil Engineering,\u00a0Construction Management, or a\u00a0related field.
\nMinimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in structural design and analysis.
\nProven record of accomplishment of working on infrastructure projects such as buildings, bridges, or industrial facilities.
\nProficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, CSI SAFE).
\nStrong understanding of structural analysis, load calculations, and material behavior.
\nFamiliarity with local and international building codes and safety standards.
\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.
