About the Job
\nPrepare and monitor transport operation budgets and monthly performance reports.
\nTrack revenues, profitability, and expenses per trip\/project.
\nMonitor expenditures including fuel, maintenance, overload charges, detention costs, and driver allowances.
\nAnalyze operational costs, recommend cost-saving measures, and verify payments for suppliers, drivers, and subcontractors.
\nStrictly monitor trip expenses from Djibouti to various Ethiopian destinations.
\nTrack specific costs such as fuel consumption, truck maintenance, driver allowances, escort\/traffic costs, and loading\/unloading expenses.
\nEnsure rigorous collection and verification of supporting documents for all expenses.
\nMonitor planned vs. actual revenue and prepare profit\/loss analyses per cargo\/project.
\nEvaluate quotes against actual operational costs and support management in pricing strategies.
\nRecord and manage financial transactions utilizing Zoho systems.
\nCoordinate with operations, logistics, and fleet departments to ensure financial discipline.
\nFollow up on client payments, transport claims, and support contract administration.
\nEnsure full compliance with company financial procedures and policies.
\nAbout You
\nEducation:\u00a0* Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.<\/p>\n
Experience:\u00a0*\u00a0Minimum 5 years\u00a0of relevant experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or heavy transport operations.<\/p>\n
Proven and mandatory experience in transport cost analysis and operational finance management.
\nBonus:\u00a0Experience handling containerized, break bulk, oversized, and heavy cargo. Experience working specifically on the Djibouti\u2013Ethiopia transport corridor is highly advantageous.
\nTechnical & Personal Skills:<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of operational cost management and transport finance.
\nHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
\nExperience with\u00a0Zoho Books \/ Zoho Expense\u00a0(or related systems) is a strong advantage.
\nHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving skills.
