Job Summary:<\/p>\n
Senior value engineer\u00a0will play a critical role in optimizing the value of our commercial building projects by balancing cost, quality, functionality, and sustainability. This role involves conducting comprehensive value engineering studies, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes without compromising design intent or performance. The Value Engineer will contribute to delivering high-quality, cost-efficient developments that align with Kavod Real Estate\u2019s standards of excellence<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Conduct value analysis and value engineering studies across commercial building projects
\nIdentify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities in design, materials, and construction processes
\nCollaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to implement value improvement strategies
\nAssess project designs to ensure optimal functionality, cost-efficiency, and compliance with client requirements
\nPerform detailed cost-benefit analyses to support design and investment decisions
\nRecommend alternative design solutions, materials, and construction methods to enhance value
\nPrepare comprehensive reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
\nMonitor and track the implementation and performance of value engineering initiatives
\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
\nSupport continuous improvement by promoting value engineering best practices within the organization
\nAbout You
\nQualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master\u2019s degree is an advantage)
\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering and 3 years of experience in value engineering, cost engineering, or a related role within the construction or real estate industry
\nProfessional certification in Value Engineering (e.g., CVS) or Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus
\nDemonstrated experience in commercial building projects is highly desirable
\nSkills & Competencies:<\/p>\n
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
\nProven ability to identify and implement cost-saving and value-enhancing solutions
\nIn-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
\nProficiency in value engineering methodologies and cost analysis techniques
\nExcellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills
\nAbility to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
\nInnovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
\nSoftware & Technical Skills:<\/p>\n
Proficiency in cost estimation and quantity surveying software
\nStrong working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as Autodesk Revit.
\nExperience with AutoCAD for reviewing and interpreting technical drawings
\nFamiliarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
\nAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis, financial modeling, and data management
