JOB PURPOSE:\u00a0We are looking for a strong leader who can\u00a0manage processes, inspire people, and deliver results. The Post-Harvest Manager ensures that production targets and KPIs are met, quality is maintained under all circumstances, and teams are motivated to continuously improve.<\/p>\n
This role is not just about flowers \u2014 it\u2019s about\u00a0managing operations like a factory floor, driving efficiency, and ensuring customers receive products of the highest quality.<\/p>\n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/p>\n
Process Leadership:\u00a0Oversee workflows from harvest to dispatch, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery.
\nPeople Empowerment:\u00a0Lead, coach, and inspire teams to perform at their best, fostering accountability and collaboration.
\nQuality Under Pressure:\u00a0Maintain strict quality standards even during peak demand or challenging conditions.
\nTarget & KPI Achievement:\u00a0Drive performance by monitoring KPIs, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions.
\nContinuous Improvement:\u00a0Apply Kaizen principles to reduce waste, improve standards, and enhance efficiency.
\nCollaboration:\u00a0Work closely with HR, Production, farm management, and external stakeholders to align goals and resolve issues.

About You
\nEDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
BSC Degree or above in Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, Quality, or related field.
\nCertification in Quality Management, Lean, or Kaizen is an advantage.
\nBusiness Management or Administration training is desirable.
\nEXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
Minimum 5 years\u2019 proven experience in\u00a0managing processes and people\u00a0\u2014 whether in horticulture, manufacturing, or other industries.
\nExperience in horticulture or post-harvest management is a plus but\u00a0not required.
\nDemonstrated success in meeting targets, maintaining quality, and leading teams.
\nTECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:<\/p>\n
Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
\nExcellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), Amharic, and ideally Oromifa.
\nFamiliarity with Total Quality Management and certification standards (MPS, Code of Practice, etc.).
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
