Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Under the supervision of the Auto Services Foreman, the Junior Auto Mechanic I, is responsible for performing minor services and repairs on vehicles in a safe, efficient, and economical manner; working under close supervision of the immediate supervisor or senior technicians to achieve an acceptable level of work and maintain quality standards at all times.<\/p>\n
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Makes sure that all vehicles received for repair and servicing are requested by customers and have a work order;
\nEnsures the tools and materials required for repair purposes are available;
\nPerforms minor services and repairs on vehicles as per job card utilizing the necessary tools, equipment, and facilities, in a safe and efficient manner within the standard job time defined by the company;
\nAssists the Technician Crew in the disassembling and assembling activities;
\nParticipates and assists in performing general repair works, such as, brakes, wheels, suspensions and removing\/replacing complete units and related parts utilizing the necessary tools and equipment;
\nPerforms minor repair works on cooling system, fuel system and the like;
\nReports additional defects discovered during repair to supervisor or senior technicians, so that defects are recorded on job card and repairs are carried out;
\nRequests spare parts for vehicles under repair upon the approval of the Shop Foreman;
\nFills required service data in the job slip;
\nUses safe working practices and procedures at all times and in particular to comply with company safety regulations, including the wearing of protective clothing;
\nTakes good care of tools and assigned equipment and learns the safe operation of standard testing devices to detect and correct mechanical malfunctions;
\nPerforms other related duties as required.

\nFrom recognized college\/TVET level IV \/10+3\/ diploma in Auto-Mechanics\/Automotive Technology and relevant technical training<\/p>\n
