\nRole Summary<\/p>\n
The Procurement Senior Manager will lead and oversee all procurement functions of MSIE to ensure efficient, transparent, compliant, and cost-effective procurement operations. The role will provide strategic leadership in procurement planning, supplier management, contract administration, and supply chain coordination to support uninterrupted programme and operational activities across the organization.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will work closely with programme, finance, warehouse, logistics, supply chain, and leadership teams to strengthen procurement systems, ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements, and improve value for money.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Lead procurement planning and oversee end-to-end procurement processes.
\nEnsure compliance with MSI policies, donor regulations, and Ethiopian legal requirements.
\nManage supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and performance monitoring.
\nStrengthen procurement systems, controls, and documentation practices.
\nCoordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to support inventory and commodity availability.
\nSupport procurement budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and cost control initiatives.
\nLead and mentor procurement staff and support capacity-building initiatives.
\nPrepare procurement reports and support audit and compliance reviews.
\nPromote transparency, accountability, and ethical procurement practices.
\nAbout You
\nRequired Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Management, or related field.
\nProfessional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an advantage.
\nMinimum of 8\u201310 years of progressive procurement and supply chain management experience, including at least 4 years in a senior leadership or supervisory role.
\nProven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and compliance management.
\nExperience working in healthcare, NGO, business, or donor-funded environments is desirable.
\nStrong understanding of donor procurement regulations and procurement best practices.
\nExcellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
\nStrong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
\nExcellent written and spoken English skills.
