The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring livelihood programs that aim to improve the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable communities. The Livelihood Officer will work closely with local stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries to identify needs, develop strategies, and provide technical support to enhance livelihood opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct livelihood assessments and analyze data to identify needs and opportunities for intervention<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement livelihood programs, including business development, vocational training, and income generation activities<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support and capacity building to local organizations and community groups<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with organizational policies<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other teams, including program management, monitoring and evaluation, and finance, to ensure integrated program implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in a relevant field, such as Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration, or Social Sciences, from a recognized Ethiopian university<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years of experience in livelihood program design, implementation, and management, preferably in a development or humanitarian context<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of successful livelihood program implementation, including experience in business development, vocational training, and income generation activities<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of the Ethiopian context, including socio-economic trends, cultural norms, and government policies<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, government officials, and private sector entities<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate in other local languages an asset<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with database management software<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team environment, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple
