Key Responsibilities
\nCase Management and Psychosocial Support
\nIdentify and support vulnerable children, women, girls, and CP-GBV survivors through safe and confidential case management services.<\/p>\n
Conduct assessments and develop individualized action plans for beneficiaries.Provide basic psychosocial support and referrals to specialized services.
\nEnsure proper follow-up and documentation of cases.
\nMaintain confidentiality and adhere to protection principles at all times.
\n2. Child Protection Activities
\nSupport prevention and response interventions related to child abuse, neglect, exploitation, violence, and harmful practices.
\nFacilitate child-friendly and safe space activities.
\nConduct awareness sessions on child rights and protection issues.<\/p>\n
Identify and refer children at risk, including separated and unaccompanied children.<\/p>\n
3. CP-GBV Prevention and Response
\nSupport CP-GBV awareness campaigns and community sensitization activities.Ensure survivor-centered approaches in all CP-CP-GBV interventions.
\nStrengthen referral pathways for health, legal, psychosocial, and protection services. Coordinate with service providers to ensure timely support for survivors.
\n4. Community Engagement and Capacity Building
\nMobilize community groups and stakeholders to support protection activities.
\nConduct trainings for community volunteers, case workers, and local structures.
\nPromote community-based protection mechanisms.
\nEngage women, youth, and community leaders in protection discussions.
\n5. Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
\nPrepare weekly, monthly, and activity reports.
\nMaintain accurate beneficiary records and protection databases.
\nCollect protection-related data while ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards.
\nMonitor project indicators and support evaluations and assessments.
\n6. Coordination and Representation
\nParticipate in protection coordination meetings and working groups.
\nCollaborate with government offices, NGOs, UN agencies, and community actors.
\nSupport referral coordination and service mapping activities.
\nAbout You
\nRequired Qualifications and Experience
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Development Studies, or related fields.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Child Protection and\/or CP-GBV programming.
\nExperience in humanitarian or emergency response settings is an advantage.
\nKnowledge of case management principles and protection standards.
\nStrong understanding of survivor-centered approaches and safeguarding principles.
\nExperience working with vulnerable populations including women, girls, and children.
\nSkills and Competencies
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Good report writing and documentation skills.
\nAbility to work under pressure and in multicultural environments.Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, email, and data management tools).Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
\nLanguages
\nFluency in English and Amharic both writing and speaking.Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
