Job Purpose:The Protection, Gender, and PSEA Officer is responsible for providing strategic and technical support to ensure effective mainstreaming of safeguarding principles, gender equality, and protection across all WFP\u2011supported IDP project operational areas. The role requires strong expertise in Safeguarding, Gender, and Protection, along with excellent skills in report writing, communication, and capacity building. The post holder will lead the implementation of gender and protection components of the WFP project and actively engage throughout the project cycle in coordination with consortium partners. She\/He will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of project staff, partner organizations, and key stakeholders to ensure the effective integration of Gender, Protection, and Safeguarding within all WFP project interventions.<\/p>\n
Major Responsibility<\/p>\n
Program\/Project Planning and Implementation:<\/p>\n
Coordinate and facilitate program\/project activities, ensuring they align with the overall program\/project objectives and donor requirements.
\nMonitor program\/project progress, identify challenges, and develop solutions to ensure timely and effective implementation.
\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date program\/project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials.
\nOperational and Technical Guidance of CFRM in food assistance activities<\/p>\n
Lead the implementation of Safeguarding, gender and protection activities of WFP project and actively engage throughout the project cycle in collaboration with consortium members.
\nActively participate in concept note preparation, proposals development from gender lenses and make sure protection and gender-specific indicators, tools and methodologies are in place during the onset of the project.
\nLead programmatic assessments including gender and protection analysis, and protection monitoring to ensure continuous improvement mainstreaming of finding on program strategy, design and advocacy
\nFacilitate regular focus group discussions and individual interviews ensuring that issues of women, men, girls, boys, and people with different needs are identified and addressed.
\nEnsures a gender-sensitive approach is taken to programming and integrated into protection assessments and activities.
\nEnsure that issues of SGBV and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) are explored in sensitive ways and that services and follow-up are provided in keeping with international guidelines
\nCoordination, Monitoring and Reporting<\/p>\n

Work closely with program and MEAL team to ensure gender, safeguarding, protection and other cross-cutting issues are properly assessed and integrated into WFP programming.
\nUndertake regular on-site visits to monitor the quality of activity implementation and provide technical advice to partner staff as necessary.
\nSupport donors, stakeholders, and other internal reporting requirements by providing accurate and timely input on gender and protection activities.
\nTechnical support to CFRM team and provide relevant protection manual and document
\nLiaise, network and maintain good working relationships with relevant actors
\nCollect analyses and produce regular reports regarding the implementation of WVE\u2019s safeguarding policies, review and audit.
\nRepresent WVE within the relevant PWG and PSEA network meeting, forums and consortium meetings.
\nAttending internal meetings and working in collaboration with WVE Protection unit.
\nTraining and capacity\u00a0building<\/p>\n

\nEnsure that all technical staff and casuals including incentive workers are in compliance with mandatory policies and awareness trainings i.e. WV Code of Conduct, Child and Adult Safeguarding, Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption
\nAbout You
\nRequired Education, training, license, registration, and\/or Certification:<\/p>\n
MA\/BA Degree in Social Science, Social work, Gender studies and related field
\nCertificate in specialized training related to Gender, safeguarding and PSEA and inclusion programming
\nRequired Professional Experience<\/p>\n
3-5 Years of experience in Gender, child protection and safeguarding program design and management.
\nExperience with and knowledge of mainstreaming protection in food assistance, protection and gender integration, and protection mainstreaming.
