Position Overview \/ Scope of Role:
\nThe Deputy General Manager \u2013 Plant Operations is responsible for ensuring the full operational, technical, and process integrity of the manufacturing plant, overseeing end-to-end production activities within the paper converting and packaging value chain.<\/p>\n
The role provides executive-level leadership across all plant functions including production, technical operations, maintenance, pre-press, printing, and finishing. The position ensures operational continuity, efficiency, and cost competitiveness while driving modernization and performance improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n
The incumbent is accountable for strengthening operational discipline, optimizing production processes, safeguarding critical resources, and ensuring the plant operates at high levels of reliability, quality, and productivity.<\/p>\n

\nEnd-to-End Production and Value Chain Management
\n\u2022 Oversee the full production value chain from order intake, technical costing, pre-press, and design to printing and finishing processes.
\n\u2022 Ensure seamless coordination across all stages of production to achieve efficiency and quality targets.
\n\u2022 Optimize workflow, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure smooth production flow.<\/p>\n
Operational Leadership and Plant Performance Management
\n\u2022 Lead all plant operations to ensure high productivity, efficiency, and output quality.
\n\u2022 Monitor and control key production KPIs including output, efficiency, scrap rates, and downtime.
\n\u2022 Ensure continuous plant operation and production reliability.
\n\u2022 Drive performance improvement initiatives across all operational areas.<\/p>\n
Technical Oversight and Asset Management
\n\u2022 Oversee all plant machinery, equipment, and technical systems.
\n\u2022 Lead transition from reactive maintenance to structured, performance-based maintenance systems.
\n\u2022 Ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational reliability.
\n\u2022 Manage spare parts planning and technical resource allocation.<\/p>\n
Process Optimization and Cost Efficiency
\n\u2022 Drive continuous improvement in production processes and material utilization.
\n\u2022 Reduce waste, scrap, and inefficiencies across production lines.
\n\u2022 Optimize raw material conversion ratios and cost structures.
\n\u2022 Support cost leadership through efficient operations.<\/p>\n
Industrial Discipline and Resource Control
\n\u2022 Establish strong operational controls to safeguard critical resources including fuel, materials, and technical labor.
\n\u2022 Ensure disciplined usage and monitoring of operational inputs.
\n\u2022 Maintain strict operational standards to support uninterrupted production.<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance and Production Standards
\n\u2022 Ensure all production outputs meet required quality standards and customer specifications.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with quality teams to maintain consistency and reduce defects.

Cross-Functional Coordination
\n\u2022 Ensure strong coordination between production, technical, commercial, and support functions.

\nEducational Qualification:
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Print\/Packaging Engineering, or related field<\/p>\n
Experience:
\n\u2022 Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in paper converting, flexible packaging, or related manufacturing industries<\/p>\n
\u2022 At least\u00a04-5 years in managerial or senior leadership roles, directly overseeing production, technical, or plant operations
\n\u2022 Proven experience in managing complex plant operations and technical functions
\n\u2022 Experience in high-performance industrial environments is highly desirable<\/p>\n
