Job Summary<\/p>\n
The Logistics Assistant supports effective field operations and program implementation by ensuring timely logistics arrangements, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with coordination between field teams and the operations unit. This role contributes to smooth delivery of project activities through transport support, event organization, and documentation management.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
1. Field Operations Support<\/p>\n
Assist in day-to-day logistics arrangements for field activities.
\nEnsure transport, materials, and supplies are available for program teams.
\nProvide on-the-ground support during trainings, workshops, and community events.
\n2. Transport & Supply Coordination<\/p>\n
Support drivers in scheduling and dispatching vehicles for field missions.
\nTrack vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs.
\nAssist in managing distribution of supplies and materials to field sites.
\n3. Event & Activity Logistics<\/p>\n
Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
\nArrange venues, prepare materials, and support participant coordination.
\nEnsure smooth execution of all event-related activities.
\n4. Documentation & Record Keeping<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate records of stock, deliveries, and transactions.
\nPrepare and update logistics-related documents for reporting.
\nEnsure proper filing and secure storage of operational documents.
\n5. Team Coordination<\/p>\n
Work closely with field staff and program teams to align logistics support with operational needs.
\nFacilitate effective communication between logistics and program units.
\nProvide timely updates on logistics challenges and solutions.
\nAbout You
\nEducation<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
\nExit Exam result: 75 & above
\nExperience<\/p>\n
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in logistics or operations support and related areas.
\nStrong organizational and multitasking skills.
\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.
\nProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
\nExperience in NGO, donor funded projects or field operations is an added advantage.
