Key Responsibilities:
\nSales & Business Development:
\n\u2022 Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets for medical and pharmaceutical equipment.
\n\u2022 Identify and establish relationships with hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions.
\n\u2022 Handle negotiations and close deals with international clients and suppliers.
\n\u2022 Assist the Director in planning, organizing, and directing organizational activities.
\n\u2022 Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with organizational standards.
\n\u2022 Implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
\nImport & Logistics Management:
\n\u2022 Coordinate the importation of sophisticated medical equipment in compliance with local regulations.
\n\u2022 Liaise with international vendors, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure timely delivery.
\n\u2022 Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
\nTechnical & Installation Oversight:
\n\u2022 Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of medical equipment at client sites.
\n\u2022 Provide technical support and training to hospital staff on new equipment.
\nRegulatory & Compliance:
\n\u2022 Ensure all imported equipment meet national standards and regulations.
\n\u2022 Maintain proper documentation for importation, sales, and certification.
\n\u2022 Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and public events.
\nTeam Leadership & Collaboration:
\n\u2022 Support the sales team with technical expertise and market insights.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations.
\n\u2022 Supervise, mentor, and support departmental managers and staff.
\n\u2022 Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
\nAbout You
\nQualifications & Requirements:
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree\/Masters in Pharmacy, Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. 10 years\u2019 experience five years in Managerial\/Director position
\n\u2022 Extensive experience in medical equipment sales, importation, and healthcare industry.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of medical equipment installation, calibration, and maintenance.
\n\u2022 Strong understanding of international procurement procedures and regulations.
\n\u2022 Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
\n\u2022 Fluency in English; proficiency in Amharic is advantageous.<\/p>\n
Preferred Skills:
\n\u2022 Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
\n\u2022 Familiarity with the Ethiopian healthcare market and regulatory environment.
\n\u2022 Technical background in medical devices or biomedical engineering.
