Operational Support:<\/p>\n
Assists in the daily operations of the department, ensuring smooth functioning and achievement of goals.
\nOversees workflow and staff schedules to ensure optimal productivity
\nMaintains regular communication with team members to ensure adherence to company\u2019s policies and procedures.
\nEnsures effective communication with concerned staff to smoothly maintain pillars of financial management (securing, efficient use, monitoring and reporting of companies resources)
\nTeam Management:<\/p>\n
Helps departments to organize the necessary information in a systematic way so that the production, planning, monitoring, and control system are contained and strengthened
\nSupervises and mentors staff, offering guidance and support. Conducts performance reviews and provides feedback for employee development.
\nIdentifies knowledge, skill and behavior gaps of the factory staff and organizes development programs to enhance team capabilities.
\nGuides staff on timely recording of machine history, spare parts, etc. and conducts close follow up on preventive and curative maintenances
\nConducts product pricing in collaboration with concerned departments
\nOrganizes staff and meeting and shares updates to concerned
\nLeadership:<\/p>\n

\nInfluence staff on cost leadership via employing leadership framework
\nRepresents the factory and markets its branding, diplomatically negotiates with strategic stakeholders and maintains companies interest
\nStrategic Planning:<\/p>\n
Prepares workmanship, activity, procurement, spending plans with relevant department heads
\nContributes input to concerned department on marketing strategies ( targeting, positioning and segmentation)
\nCollaborates with the managers to plan, execute, and evaluate departments\u2019 strategies and initiatives.
\nContributes to setting department goals and targets, and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
\nPrepares regular reports on performance, operational metrics, and departmental achievements.
\nAnalyzes data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
\nAddresses operational issues and challenges promptly and effectively.
\nMakes critical decisions when the manager is unavailable and raise critical issues when necessary.
\nEnsures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
\nAssists in identifying and mitigating operational risks.
\nSupports customer service and client relationship management, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns when necessary.
\nEnsures stakeholders management and creates smooth working relationship with local communities and government organs,
\nAssures compliance to food safety, statutory, regulatory, mutually agreed customer requirements and other obligations.
\nFulfills and exceed the needs and expectations of customers and ensure the highest possible satisfaction of the customers.
\nEnsures the production and supply of safe products across the supply chain
\nContributes for the demand and supply chain managements
\nPrevents cross-contamination and controls hazards by developing or innovating systems\/methods
\nManages threats and vulnerabilities by establishing food defense and food fraud mitigation measures
\nMinimizes and effectively manages risks and use opportunities to improve performance,
\nEnsures preparedness and response to emergency situations and accidents.
\nDevelops matured food safety culture within the management, employees and relevant parties,
\nPeriodically monitor, measures, analyzes and evaluates the food safety management systems in compliance with the standards.
\nContinually validates, verifies, reviews, improves and updates the food safety management system for the continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the system.
\nEstablishes, implements, documents, maintains and continually improves the food safety management system (ISO 22000) in the operations.
\nIntroduces ERP to concerned staff and makes it fully operational.
\nEnsures spot check and inventory management plans are in place, implemented and reported on regular and impromptu bases
\nPerforms other duties as required.

\nEducational Background:<\/p>\n
MSC\/BSC degree in in food science and related field
\nExperience:<\/p>\n
Respectively, MSC\/BSC 5\/7 years of experience in in food production management
\nAbility to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions in an efficacy
\nExcellent organizational and time-management skills
\nExperience working with ERP systems and food science software,
\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills,
\nStrong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making,
\nAbility to work under pressure, to manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
\nKnowledge and understanding of Ethiopian production seasons is preferred,
\nKnowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 22000, HACCP).
\nFluent in English, Afaan Oromoo and Amharic<\/p>\n
