Eshet Children and Youth Development Organization (ECYDO) is a local Civil Society Organization (CSO) dedicated to promoting gender equality, empowering youth, women, and girls, and fostering community development in Ethiopia. Under the MESSAGE II Project, ECYDO is implementing an integrated intervention to promote the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of adolescent girls, improve school safety, and strengthen community support systems.<\/p>\n

ECYDO is launching the MESSAGE II project, dedicated to strengthening the sexual and reproductive rights of adolescent girls in Asella City. The project focuses on:<\/p>\n
Establishing safe spaces and Water facilities in schools
\nDelivering SRH and life skills education
\nStrengthening girls\u2019 leadership and clubs
\nEnhancing community awareness and safeguarding systems

Reports to:\u00a0Executive Director\/Program Manager<\/p>\n
Role Summary:\u00a0The Project Coordinator is the primary lead responsible for the strategic direction, daily management, and successful delivery of all MESSAGE II objectives.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Project Leadership:\u00a0Lead the overall implementation of activities across three partner schools (Chilalo, Oda, and Silingo). Manage day-to-day project implementation across all components
\nStakeholder Management:\u00a0Act as the primary liaison between ECYDO, the Asella City Education and Health Offices, school administrations, and other stakeholders involved in the project implementation. Liaise with schools, local government, and partners
\nInfrastructure Oversight:\u00a0Supervise and coordinate safe space construction and the renovation of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities. In addition, coordinate training and other community activities
\nReporting:\u00a0Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual narrative and financial reports for donors and government signatories. Ensure project targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
\nTeam Management:\u00a0Supervise the project staff, including the Social Worker, MEAL Officer, and Safe Space Facilitators.

\nQualifications<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s\/bachelor\u2019s in project management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field
\n5+ years NGO experience (2+ years in a leadership role)
\nStrong knowledge of SRH, gender, and education programming
\nGeneral Requirements<\/p>\n
Commitment to child safeguarding and gender equality
\nStrong communication skills (Afaan Oromo and English are required; Amharic preferred)
\nAt least 5 years of experience in NGO\/project environments\u00a0is mandatory
\nWillingness to travel within the project site (partner school) every day
