KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Leadership \/ management:<\/p>\n
Collaborate with Drilling supervisors.
\nCoach and guide young trainee drillers to achieve the professional development and experience in drilling.
\nPeople:<\/p>\n
Ensure the performance, development and overall wellbeing of resources deployed on the drilling programs.
\nHealth and Safety:<\/p>\n
Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements in each country of operation
\nEnsure the overall Health and Safety of employees in conjunction with the Allied Gold Corp Health and Safety specialists
\nEnsure the relevant workplace area is safe and without risk to health.
\nAcquire and disseminate safety information appropriate to the needs of individuals on site so that they may work in a safe manner.
\nEnsure that safe work practices and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
\nConduct regular site inspections to identify potential problems and hazards and when necessary, arrange assessment of potential hazards and institute control measures.
\nEncourage the involvement of all employees\u2019 in achieving a safe and healthy workplace, by arranging toolbox meetings and inviting input from people on matters relating to work processes as well as health and safety.
\nUse personal protective equipment that is provided
\nCompliance and Business Improvement:
\nComply with all legislative requirements in the respective jurisdictions.
\nComply with all Allied prescribed policies and guidelines
\nProactively promote safety as the central theme of their actions whether engaged on site or off site.
\nProactively identify HSE hazards and implement effective risk management activities \u2013 e.g., Hazard \/ Near Miss Reporting, JSEA for new\/special tasks.
\nProgressively strive to develop skill levels pertaining to safety management practices and protocols.
\nReport all incidents, including accidents and near misses.
\nResponsible for the monitoring of conformance with pertinent HSE and legislative requirements and providing accurate, timely feedback to the management team.
\nUndertake identified Compliance Activity Requirements within the allotted timeframes.
\nProvide on the job training and mentoring of employees within their work section.
\nProvide feedback to participants and management.
\nWork with Trainers in the coordination and set-up of work schedules and on-the-job training sessions.
