The Construction Head is responsible for overall planning, coordination, and control of all construction projects and tendering activities. The role ensures projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining strong oversight on cost, quality, risk, and bidding strategy.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Project Oversight & Control
\nOversee execution of all ongoing projects from head office
\nMonitor progress against schedule, cost against budget, and project quality performance
\nReview and approve work programs and resource plans
\nProvide technical support to site teams
\nConduct regular performance reviews of projects
\nTendering & Financial Input
\nLead technical review of tender documents and BOQs
\nDefine construction methodology, execution strategy, and project duration
\nReview and validate cost estimates, unit rates, and financial proposals
\nEnsure bids are competitive, realistic, and risk-aware
\nParticipate in final bid approval with management
\nSupport post-bid clarifications and negotiations
\nCost & Risk Management
\nMonitor project costs and identify deviations
\nAdvise on cost-saving opportunities and resource optimization
\nEvaluate risks during tender and execution stages
\nEnsure proper contingency planning
\nTeam Leadership & Coordination
\nSupervise project managers, site engineers, and office engineers
\nEnsure strong coordination between head office and site teams
\nMentor and guide technical staff
\nDrive accountability and performance across projects
\nSystems & Process Development
\nDevelop and improve reporting systems and project tracking tools
\nStandardize documentation and workflows
\nStrengthen tendering and execution procedures
\nClient & Stakeholder Coordination
\nEngage with clients and consultants on technical matters
