Technical Design Review & Verification<\/p>\n
Review designs, drawings, specifications, and BoQs for gravity, motorized boreholes, and solarized water supply systems and sanitation facilities ensuring National and Client standards
\nVerify field conditions, water sources, yield tests, hydraulic calculations
\nConstruction Supervision & Quality Assurance<\/p>\n
Conduct regular field supervision of construction activities.
\nPrepare supervision reports with photos, deviations, and corrective actions.
\nVerify contractor adherence to timelines, specifications, workmanship, contract price and safety.
\nSupport Client in certifying contractor payments.
\nContract & Project management Support<\/p>\n
Participate in bid evaluation and technical clarification meetings ensuring timely contract signing
\nStrengthen contract management process of implementing partners.
\nFlag delays, risks, and compliance gaps to Client early
\nParticipate in contractual meetings, joint site supervisions and monitoring and draft, share and document meeting minutes and other records.
\nCapacity Building for Government Partners<\/p>\n
Train woreda\/zonal technicians on O&M, water safety planning, solar system management, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
\nMentor field teams in supervision, QA\/QC, and reporting.
\nAssist partners in establishing and training WASHCOs and TWUs
\nEnsure establishment of cost recovery systems for water supply schemes to ensure sustainability
\nMonitoring Data Collection & Reporting<\/p>\n
Develop monitoring tools and site checklists
\nDevelop\/adopt formats and train operators, woreda\/zonal technicians on data recording and reporting.
\nEstablish and ensure regular data recording, keeping and reporting mechanisms for gravity, motorized and solar systems
\nSupport water quality monitoring, pump tests, commissioning, and functionality
\nSubmit bi-weekly updates, monthly progress reports, quarterly summaries, and a final completion report
\nRecord and share GPS coordinates and other necessary data for developed water systems and sanitation facilities
\nEnvironmental & Social Safeguarding Compliance<\/p>\n
Support adherence to Client environmental safeguards
\nEngage communities and water user comities for sustainability
