Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Woreda Health Security Activity Project Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing health security activities at the Woreda level, ensuring the effective delivery of health services and promoting community health and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement health security activities at the Woreda level, in collaboration with local health authorities and stakeholders
- Develop and implement project work plans, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and budgets to ensure effective project delivery
- Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to Woreda health officials and health facility staff to strengthen health security systems
- Facilitate community engagement and participation in health security activities, including awareness-raising and education campaigns
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with local government, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing challenges and areas for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- At least 3 years of experience in health project management, health security, or a related field, with a focus on community health and development
- Proven experience in project planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, with a strong understanding of health systems and policies in Ethiopia
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community mobilization skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in Amharic and English, with strong writing and reporting skills
- Familiarity with Ethiopian health policies, laws, and regulations, as well as international health standards and best practices
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong commitment to teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning
