Job Title: Warehouse and Transport Manager (Glass Manufacturing)

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Warehouse and Transport Manager to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods at our glass manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the warehouse and transport operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing logistics to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective warehouse and transport strategies to meet production requirements and customer demand
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimal stock losses
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse and transport staff, providing training and guidance to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Develop and manage budgets for warehouse and transport operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and transport management, preferably in the manufacturing sector
  • Proven track record of improving logistics efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of warehouse and transport staff
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret logistics data and make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with Ethiopian transportation regulations and customs procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management software, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
