Job Title: Utility Operator

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining utility equipment and systems, ensuring the efficient and safe distribution of essential services such as water, electricity, and steam. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor utility equipment and systems, including boilers, pumps, and generators
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and repairing equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
• Keep accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and other relevant data
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining utility equipment and systems
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols, including those related to electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices
• Physical ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent walking, standing, and climbing
