Job Title: Telecom and IT Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain telecommunications and IT systems, including network infrastructure, servers, and software applications
• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliverables
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize system downtime
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ITU and ECA regulations
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior staff members
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the telecom and IT industry and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes

Requirements

• BSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a telecom or IT company
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL are an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications and IT principles, including network protocols, data communication, and software applications
• Experience with network management tools, such as SNMP, and IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
