Job Title: Shift Manager – Packaging

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Shift Manager to oversee our packaging operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of packaging staff, ensuring efficient and safe production, and maintaining high-quality packaging standards. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise the packaging process to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
• Lead and manage a team of packaging staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
• Monitor and maintain high-quality packaging standards, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Implement and maintain safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
• Analyze production data and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
• Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
• Proven knowledge of packaging operations, quality control, and safety procedures
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
• Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific standards and guidelines
