Job Title: Senior Accountant

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of financial accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and oversee the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on financial planning and budgeting
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and implement audit recommendations
• Manage and maintain financial records and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and completeness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role
• Professional certification in accounting, such as CPA or ACCA, is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or QuickBooks
• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and guide team members
