Job Title: Consultant for Review of Regional Health and Education Budgets and Services for Disability and Gender-inclusion
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of regional health and education budgets and services for disability and gender-inclusion for our Civil Society Strengthening Program for Children’s Rights (CSSPCR) Project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health, education, or a related field, with a focus on disability and gender-inclusion. The consultant will be responsible for assessing the current state of health and education services for children with disabilities and marginalized groups, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for strengthening these services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough review of regional health and education budgets and services, with a focus on disability and gender-inclusion
- Assess the current state of health and education services for children with disabilities and marginalized groups, including identifying gaps and areas for improvement
- Develop a comprehensive report outlining findings, recommendations, and proposed strategies for strengthening health and education services for children with disabilities and marginalized groups
- Collaborate with regional health and education stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and community groups, to gather information and validate findings
- Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to regional health and education stakeholders to strengthen their capacity to deliver inclusive and equitable services
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, or a related field, with a focus on disability and gender-inclusion
- At least 5 years of experience working in public health, education, or a related field, with a focus on disability and gender-inclusion
- Proven track record of conducting research and analysis, and developing reports and recommendations for stakeholders
- Strong understanding of the Ethiopian health and education systems, including policies and laws related to disability and gender-inclusion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
- Fluency in Amharic and English is required, with knowledge of other local languages an asset
- Experience working with civil society organizations, government agencies, and community groups is an asset
