Job Title: Regional Clinical Mentor – North

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Clinical Mentor to join our team in the Northern region of Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical mentorship and support to healthcare professionals in the region, with the goal of improving the quality of healthcare services and patient outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced healthcare professional to make a meaningful contribution to the development of the healthcare system in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical mentorship and coaching to healthcare professionals in the region, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers
  • Conduct regular site visits to healthcare facilities to assess clinical practices and provide feedback and support
  • Develop and implement training programs to address identified gaps in clinical knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with regional health authorities and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of healthcare services
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor and evaluate the impact of clinical mentorship activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, regional health authorities, and other partners

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Nursing, Medicine, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a minimum of 2 years in a mentorship or coaching role
  • Strong knowledge of clinical practices and protocols, as well as Ethiopian healthcare policies and guidelines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in other local languages an asset
  • Willingness to travel frequently to healthcare facilities in the region, with a valid driver’s license an asset
  • Computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Office and other software applications
