Brief Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Service Provider (SP) to undertake monitoring, institutional capacity building, and reporting for Financial Service Providers (FSPs) in Woldiya. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, capacity building, and monitoring services to FSPs, with the aim of improving their operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and overall performance. This is a re-advertisement, and we encourage all eligible Service Providers to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to FSPs to assess their operational performance, identify areas of improvement, and provide technical assistance and guidance.
  • Provide institutional capacity building services, including training, coaching, and mentoring, to FSP staff and management.
  • Develop and implement capacity building plans, tailored to the specific needs of each FSP, to enhance their financial management, risk management, and governance practices.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to stakeholders, including progress reports, monitoring reports, and evaluation reports.
  • Foster strong relationships with FSPs, local authorities, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in microfinance, banking, or a related field, with a focus on institutional capacity building, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Proven track record of providing technical assistance and capacity building services to FSPs or similar organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the Ethiopian microfinance sector, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to Woldiya and other parts of the country, as required.
