Project Nurse – Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Project Nurse to join our team in addressing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating NCD-related projects, providing high-quality patient care, and promoting health education to communities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and activities to address NCDs in target communities
• Conduct needs assessments, surveys, and research to identify NCD-related health needs and priorities
• Provide training and capacity-building programs for healthcare providers, community health workers, and other stakeholders on NCD prevention, diagnosis, and management
• Establish and maintain partnerships with local healthcare providers, NGOs, and government agencies to leverage resources and expertise
• Develop and disseminate health education materials, guidelines, and protocols for NCD prevention and management
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, outcomes, and impact, and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in nursing, with a focus on NCDs or public health
• Valid nursing license from the Ethiopian Nursing Council
• Strong knowledge of NCDs, including prevention, diagnosis, and management
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a team, with minimal supervision, and in resource-constrained settings
• Fluency in English and Amharic; proficiency in other local languages is an asset
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and communities
• Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Office and data analysis software
