Job Title: Program Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to ensure the effective implementation of our programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of program activities and projects
  • Conduct research and analyze data to inform program decisions and improve outcomes
  • Provide technical assistance and support to program staff, partners, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions
  • Develop and manage program budgets, reports, and other documentation
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, and develop strategies to address challenges and opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as international development, social sciences, or business administration
  • At least 2 years of experience in program management, development, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of program management principles, practices, and techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with strong writing and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with experience in database management and data analysis
  • Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies is an asset
